The Atomium in the north of Brussels is the city's second landmark after the Manneken Pis. The structure is just over 100 meters high and represents an iron crystal model magnified a billion times with nine atoms.

In the topmost atomic sphere there is a restaurant and a viewing point that offers a wonderful view over Brussels. It was built in 1958 on the occasion of the World's Fair that was held in Brussels at the time.
