Bautzen

Bautzen looks back on 1,000 years of history and is considered the historical center of Upper Lusatia. The silhouette of the city is characterized by numerous towers. Bautzen represents the cultural center of Sorbian life and customs. With the "Domowina" the representation of interests of the Sorbs has its seat here. Seven streets and alleys lead off from Bautzen's main market square. The town hall occupies the north side of the square. Along Reichenstraße, stately town houses are lined up one after the other. Similar to Pisa, Bautzen also has a leaning tower. A walk along the old city fortifications is like an excursion into the long history of the city. In the nearby dinosaur park in Kleinwelka you will meet life-size dinosaurs.
