Bergen auf Rügen is a German city in the northeast of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is located in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen District, around 25 km northeast of the district city Stralsund. There are about 13.000 inhabitants living in Bergen auf Rügen.
