There are no campsites directly in Nice, but there are some sites available in the surrounding municipalities. The neighbouring towns of Cagnes-sur-Mer and Villeneuve-Loubet-Plage offer a large number of sites, some of which are open all year round. Overall, the entire French Mediterranean coast has a wide range of pitches. Outside the main season in July and August it is no problem to find a free pitch. Even those who arrive without their own caravan or tent can rent mobile accommodation on many sites. Like hotels, campsites are divided into different categories. A one-star site is simply equipped, while a four-star site offers comprehensive comfort. Prices vary depending on the facilities and start at around 6 euros per night for a basic tent pitch. A luxury caravan pitch can cost more than 30 euros in the high season.

If you want to get some information, you can get free material from the tourist office in Nice. Especially in the summer months, reservations are strongly recommended in this sought-after area.

Campsites between Nice and Cannes

About 12 kilometres from Nice is the "Parc des Maurettes", which is open all year round. Cannes is 14 kilometres away, so the campsite is ideally located for exploring the Côte d'Azur. The two-hectare site, set in a pine grove, offers a variety of pitches from simple tent pitches to camper van pitches. It is also possible to rent furnished accommodation. There is also a relaxation area with a whirlpool for guests.

The campsite "La Vielle Farm" is also located between the two towns of Nice and Cannes, about one kilometre from the sea. This campsite is perfect for a holiday with children as there is an amusement park in the neighbourhood. A large pool and a smaller children's pool round off the comfort of the site. This site is also open all year round.
