Copenhagen Central Station is the largest and most important railway station in Denmark, with direct connections to Hamburg, Lübeck, Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. In Danish, the station is called Københavns Hovedbanegård and is usually abbreviated to København H.

The station building was built in the style of Nordic national romanticism according to a design by the Danish architect Heinrich Wenck (1851 - 1936) and was put into operation on 1 December 1911. The brick building with its two-nave main hall offers a variety of shops, boutiques and restaurants.
