The smallest island of the Azores is a place where cows graze inside a volcanic crater and where there is only one overland road. Only a good 400 people live on Corvo, which is therefore a truly tranquil, relaxing place. Given its manageable size, you can easily explore everything here on foot, including especially the caldera of the extinct volcano, in which lakes have formed, some of which even have islands. Back on the coast, you can visit the sandy beach in the only town of Vila do Corvo and you will certainly have no trouble finding a place all to yourself.
