Gibraltar is a British overseas territory and a city on the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. In 1704, Anglo-Dutch forces captured Gibraltar from Spain as part of the War of the Spanish Succession. In 1713, Spain finally ceded the territory to Great Britain. Gibraltar's sovereignty is disputed, with Spain laying claim to the territory. The economy of Gibraltar is mainly based on tourism, online gambling, financial services and bunkering. The Rock of Gibraltar and the Strait of Gibraltar are the most famous landmarks.
