Hong Kong is a city and special administrative region of China in the south of the country with 7.5 million inhabitants. The former British colony of Hong Kong was handed over to China in 1997. The city is an important financial center and has one of the highest skyscraper densities in the world. Major attractions include Victoria Peak, Tian Tan Buddha and the Temple Street night market.
