Paraguay is a landlocked country in South America, bordering Argentina, Brazil and Bolivia. Typical of the country are vast swamplands, subtropical forests and the Chaco, a wilderness of savannah and scrubland. Sights include the grand Palacio de Gobierno and the Museo del Barro in the capital, Asunción, and the Jesuit Reductions in Trinidad and Jesús de Tavarangue. Also typical of Paraguay is Ñandutí lace, a traditional handicraft.
