Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean Sea and external territory of the United States. The island was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and later colonized by Spain. Since 1898, Puerto Rico has been part of the United States and has been a freely associated nation since 1952. Puerto Rico is known for its beautiful nature, beaches and rich culture. Places of interest include Yunque National Park, the old town of San Juan, and Bioluminescent Bay on Vieques Island.
