Slovenia is located in Central Europe and borders Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia. It was formed after the disintegration of Yugoslavia and declared its independence in 1991. Typical for Slovenia are the alpine landscape and the wines, especially Rebula and Teran. Among the most important sights are the capital Ljubljana, the Julian Alps, the Postojna Caves and Bled Castle.
