Tokelau is an autonomous group of islands in the Pacific Ocean, belonging to New Zealand and consisting of three tropical coral atolls: Atafu, Nukunonu and Fakaofo. With a population of about 1,500, it is one of the smallest countries in the world. There is no airport on the island and the only access to the outside world is by boat.
