In addition, the city belongs to the district of Offenbach, and even Darmstadt can be reached in 20 kilometers to the south. The region's high medieval times are commemorated by the striking Hayn Castle, which can still be seen today in ruins as a monument to its origins in the 11th century. Regular castle festivals and a nationally known jazz festival are held here.
