With a length of about 43 kilometers, Dugi Otok is one of the longest among the Croatian islands. Located in front of the city of Zadar, the island is especially known for its natural richness. The southeastern part of the island is formed by the Telascica Nature Park with its unique landscape of rugged rocky coasts, hidden bays, lush forests and vast meadows. Among vacationers, the island enjoys great popularity primarily because of its beautiful beaches. The white sand of the Sakarun beach is definitely a highlight of a swimming vacation on the Croatian coast.
