Filicudi
Filicudi is the oldest of the Aeolian sister islands. It is located in the west of the group with its three volcanoes. Monte Fossa delle Felci, Lavadom Monte Montagnola and Torrione are inactive and can be visited. From Monte Fossa delle Felci you can see as far as Sicily. The island is largely uninhabited. Only about 100 people live here in the old port of Pecorini, in Valdichiesa and on the southern slope. The aroma of herbs, oleander and broom hangs in the air. The special thing about Filicudi are its numerous grottos. According to legend, many different mythical creatures live here. In the midday heat of the Mediterranean sun, you may be able to catch a glimpse of them yourself.

Alicudi

You won't find any roads here. Centuries-old stairs lead from the harbor up into the middle of nature and to the settlements of Bazzina, Montangola, Pianicello, Sgurbio and Tonna. Donkeys replace the cars. Seclusion and tranquility are the assets of Alicudi. At the same time, figs, almonds, the famous capers and coveted vines grow here. You can stop at the church Chiesa San Bartolo. From there you have a wonderful view of the sea.
