Alicudi
Alicudi is an insider tip and popular with hikers who appreciate the original far away from the tourist crowds. The tiny island with the extinct volcano Filo dell'Arpa is almost uninhabited. You won't find any roads here. Centuries-old stairs lead from the harbor up into the middle of nature and to the settlements of Bazzina, Montangola, Pianicello, Sgurbio and Tonna. Donkeys replace the cars. Seclusion and tranquility are the assets of Alicudi.
At the same time, figs, almonds, the famous capers and coveted vines grow here.
You can stop at the church Chiesa San Bartolo. From there you have a wonderful view of the sea.
The ferry port on the island of Alicudi offers connections to the other Italian islands of Stromboli, Salina, Sicily, Panarea, Vulcano, Lipari and Filicudi, as well as to the ferry port of Ginostra on the Italian mainland. A total of 11 routes are offered here several times a day by the shipping companies Siremar and Liberty Lines.
