Crossing to Dublin

The fastest crossing is the 2 hour 15 minute crossing from Holyhead to Dublin. Ferries leave the route between 6 times a day and 4 times a week.

The ferry Oscar Wilde is used on the France-Ireland route, with a journey time of 17 hours. The Jonathan Swift, also known as the Dublin Swift, which operates on the Holyhead-Dublin ferry route, has a journey time of 1 hour 55 minutes and the Ulysses serves the new Cherbourg to Dublin route. All Irish Ferries ferries meet European safety standards and are equipped with restaurants, bars and cafes. There is free wifi access.

In recent years Irish Ferries has invested over €450 million in its fleet and port facilities and now has one of the most modern fleets in Europe and the largest car ferry in the world, the Ulysses. Irish Ferries owns the cruise ferries “The Isle of Inishmore” and “Oscar Wilde” as well as the high-speed catamaran “The Jonathan Swift”. There are eateries and cafes, as well as plenty of shopping facilities alongside a variety of bright, spacious cabins and much more.
