Naviera Armas
Routes, Tickets & Timetables
The opening of the shipping company took place in 1941 in the Canary capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The founder, Antonio Armas Curbelo, specialized the company at the beginning on the pure transport of goods and by the good business especially with the transport of salt, the shipping company expanded and renewed its fleet within a short time several times. Over the decades, the company has operated more than 50 different ships and is one of the largest shipping companies in the Canary Islands.
Since then, the shipping company has mainly been active on routes between the islands of the region. However, it also calls at other ports around Spain and North Africa. The most important destinations include Tenerife, Granada, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura. In the past, there were even connections to Madeira, Portugal, Morocco and the coasts of the Western Sahara.
In 1995, a drastic change in business policy took place when the company started transporting passengers. Since then, all the important ports in the region have been called at, often several times a day, with a total of nine ships.
On board the ultra-modern ferries, no wish of the guests remains unfulfilled. From a visit to the restaurant to an extensive shopping tour to relaxing at the outdoor pool, there is something for everyone. Children’s entertainment is also catered for with a spacious play area, as the company is particularly keen to appeal to families. Last but not least, business travellers are not left out either. With free Wi-Fi on board and dedicated rest areas, you can relax and catch up on work on the road or simply enjoy the peace and quiet and the view.
