Maybe the most beautiful view over Stockholm is from the Fjällgatan, a small street on the Stigberg in the city district Södermalm (by the way, in the medieval times, the gallows stood there). But not only the view is exciting, but also the street itself. The workers' row houses from the 18th century give an impression of the original district Södermalm.

Panorama over Stockholm

The Fjällgatan itself is a street in the city district Södermalm that is a very popular tourist destination due to its great view over Stockholm. From the hill at the shore of the Baltic Sea, there is a unique panorama over the picturesque oldtown Gamla Stan and the islands Skeppsholmen and Djurgården.

It is a regular destination for bus tours in particular, and the Hop-On/Hop-Off buses also stop here. Besides the great view, there is also a small museum at Fjällgatan 34: Stigbergets Borgarrum. Here you can experience an original furnished apartment from the middle of the 19th century.
