A green clover leaf adorns both the official city and club emblem of the "Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth" sports and soccer club, which was very successful in the 1920s and is still immensely popular locally today. With a current population of about 130,000, Fürth is the second largest city in the Franconian metropolitan region of Nuremberg and the sixth largest city in Bavaria. From the mid-15th to the 20th century, Fürth was known for its large Jewish community, whose history is vividly portrayed in the Jewish Museum of Franconia on Königstraße. In 1835, the first German railroad connection from Fürth to Nuremberg was opened, after which many magnificent city villas were built along the "Ludwigseisenbahn". People like to celebrate in Fürth, one of the biggest folk festivals is the "Michaeliskirchweih" in September or October, which has been held for 900 years.

Fürth is a German city in the northwest of the federal state of Bavaria, around 155 km north of the state capital München. There are about 128.000 inhabitants living in Fürth.
