Gedser, located at the southern tip of the Danish island of Falster, is one of the youngest places in Denmark. Not far from the town lies Gedser odde, a cliff and the southernmost point of Denmark. Nature lovers will find a bird sanctuary here, tourists relax on the bathing beach and fossils and amber can be found. Gedser is best known for its direct ferry connection to Germany. The ferry connection Rostock - Gedser is the oldest ferry connection from Germany to Scandinavia and is offered up to 10 times a day.
