The Canary Islands are an archipelago belonging to Spain in the Atlantic Ocean off the northwest coast of Africa. The archipelago is of volcanic origin and is known for its white and black sand beaches. The year-round mild climate and the varied landscape make the archipelago an ideal tourist destination.
