The Cyclades are a group of Greek islands in the southern Aegean Sea and are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece. The term Cyclades ("ring islands") dates back to ancient times and refers to the circular arrangement of the Cyclades around the sacred island of Delos. The Cyclades archipelago includes more than 200 islands, although most of them are uninhabited. The largest islands are Naxos, Milos, Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Syros and Tinos.
