The East Frisian Islands are a group of islands off the German North Sea coast in Lower Saxony. Lined up like a string of pearls, the islands, characterized by wide beaches and dunes, stretch over a length of about 90 km and impress with their unique location in the Wadden Sea, which has also been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009.
