Lolland is located south of the largest Danish island of Zealand and, with the exception of a few towns, is rather rural. Rødby and Rødbyhavn, where ferries from Fehmarn dock, are among the larger towns. Lolland is a paradise for nature lovers, as numerous lakes and marshes characterize the landscape. The northern part consists of large forested areas and the unique Maribo lakes can be navigated either with your own boat or an excursion boat. The flat island is ideal for cycling and the many attractive manor houses are wonderful destinations for excursions.
