Beside the Atomium that is located a little outside, the Manneken Pis is the landmark of Brussels and should not be missed during the sightseeing.

The Manneken Pis is a fountain figure from the beginning of the 17th century, which represents a urinating little boy. The statue is made of bronze and is only about 60 centimetres tall. It stands in the central old town of Brussels and is regularly dressed in changing costumes.

There has also been a female counterpart, the Jeanneke Pis, since 1985. It is located in the Impasse de la Fidelité, a dead-end street also in the old town of Brussels.
