Moers is located in the western part of the Ruhr area. The town's landmark, Moers Castle, is worth a visit on its own. Moers is a German city in the west of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located in the district of Wesel, around 23 km south of the district city Wesel. There are about 104.000 inhabitants living in Moers.

Moers also includes the formerly independent municipalities of Kapellen, Budberg and Rheinkamp.
