Located between Zealand and Falster, Møn is the counterpart of the German Baltic Sea island of Rügen and is also directly opposite it. The island, which bears the title UNESCO biosphere reserve, can boast several records. Not only does it have the highest elevation and the highest cliffs in Denmark, it also has the smallest castle in the country, Lieselund Castle. Just as on Rügen, there are impressive chalk cliffs (Møns Klint) and the finest sandy beaches. Vacationers who want to fill their vacations with activities will be more than thrilled by Møn. The often breathtaking landscape offers a varied terrain for long walks and cycling tours. Golfers and horseback riders get their money's worth on Møn, as do water sports enthusiasts, as kayak tours are also among the most popular activities on this island.
