Munster is a German city in the east of the federal state of Lower Saxony. It is located in the district of Heidekreis, around 30 km northeast of the district city Bad Fallingbostel. There are about 15.000 inhabitants living in Munster.
Munster also includes the formerly independent municipalities of Alvern, Ilster, Oerrel, Töpingen, Trauen, Breloh and Lopau.
