Moderna Museet

Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm
Moderna Museet on the island of Skeppsholmen is one of Scandinavia's leading museums of modern and contemporary art. Inaugurated in 1958, the museum has a remarkable collection of modern painting, sculpture and photography, with works by Pablo Picasso, Georges Braques, Giacomo Balla, Salvador Dali, Alberto Giacometti, Henri Matisse and Marcel Duchamp, among others.

Stockholm's Museum of Modern Art is the most visited art museum in Sweden. Not without reason: the exhibitions, which change several times a year, show top-class contemporary art and photography, including world-famous works by Picasso, Matisse and Dali. Probably the museum's most famous exhibit is Robert Rauschenberg's famous angora goat "Monogram." Not bad either: admission is free!
