Musée d'ethnographie de Genève

This museum was created on the initiative of anthropology professor Eugène Pittard and since 1901 has housed the most important ethnographic collection in the whole of Switzerland. More than 100,000 exhibits from all over the world can be admired by visitors here. A separate library is additionally attached to the building, which is also open for viewing. In addition to the permanent exhibition, which is divided thematically by continent, changing special exhibitions are also presented throughout the year. For those particularly interested, totem, the museum's in-house magazine, is available. Like most Geneva attractions, the building is closed on Mondays.
