Nordic Museum

Sweden's largest museum of cultural history
Since 1907, the Nordic Museum has been located in a magnificent museum building on the Djurgården peninsula, not far from the Vasa Museum and Gröna Lund amusement park. The changing exhibitions show, among other things, Swedish traditions, Swedish culture and Swedish craftsmanship from 1520 until today.

The Nordic Museum(Nordiska museet) is the largest cultural history museum in Sweden. It shows permanent and temporary exhibitions about customs and traditions in Sweden from the 16th century until today.

It was founded in 1872 by Artur Hazelius, who also created the world's first open-air museum, Skansen, a few years later. The collections currently contain about 1.5 million objects, as well as a photographic collection with over 6 million images.
