The Strindberg Museum in the central district of Norrmalm allows its visitors to delve deeply into the life and work of one of Sweden's most important writers.

August Strindberg

The museum owes its very special atmosphere to the fact that it is located in the so-called "Blå tornet" (corner Drottninggatan, Tegnérgatan), in the building where August Strindberg lived from 1908 until his death in 1912. The reconstructed apartment consists of three rooms and a library with about 3,000 works. The museum is run by the Strindberg Society and was inaugurated in 1973.
