In the archipelago off Stockholm, the small island of Nåttarö is especially popular for its fine sandy seaside beaches and unspoiled nature. The island is easily accessible by boat. It is one of the first marine protected areas with particularly diverse underwater vegetation. The lush vegetation on the seabed can be explored underwater via the marked snorkeling trail. Hiking and biking through the pine forests and oak groves are part of the recreational activities, as are observations in the bird sanctuary and individual sports. Vacationers relax at the well-kept campsite at Nåttarö.

Nåttarös campsite has existed for more than 50 years. Here the house tents are well protected between the rock formations and so the camping holidaymakers have numerous possibilities for completely individual solutions. There is also the cottage village Nåttarö Gård & Resort and the hostel Östermar Farm.

Beautiful beaches with barbecue areas are located at Skarsand, Stora Sand and Östermarsfladen. Bötsudden is the name of the viewpoint on the island, from which there are wide views over the archipelago, the bird sanctuary on Nåttarö and the sea.

About 75 meters from the beach Stora Sand is an old boulder field, here also resulted in a huge crater. One of the sights of the archipelago island is the "Drottinggrotta": Queen Maria Eleonora (1599-1655) is said to have once found refuge in this grotto.
