Neu-Isenburg

In the vicinity of Offenbach and Frankfurt, Neu-Isenburg is an important medium-sized town in Hesse whose historical roots can be traced back to the year 1699. Neu-Isenburg scores with its location in the immediate south of Frankfurt. The city is also located in the district of Offenbach. Due to its convenient location, Neu-Isenburg is wonderfully suited for excursions to the region in the heart of Hesse. Neu-Isenburg shares the Frankfurt city forest with Frankfurt. The town's museum of local history is located in the Haus zum Löwen: a building that existed in the early 18th century, shortly after Neu-Isenburg was founded. The oldest drive-in movie theater in Germany, the Autokino Gravenbruch, is located here.
