The 155-metre-high Kakna tower (Kaknästornet) is the tallest building in Sweden open to tourists and one of Stockholm's landmarks.
Built in the sixties as a radio and television tower, the building offers a restaurant, a cafe and a viewing platform on the top floors, providing a fantastic view of Stockholm (especially on clear evenings of the illuminated city).
The tower is named after the medieval village of Kaknäs, which was once located in today's Gärdet district.
