Place du Bourg-de-Four

This square forms the geographical and historical heart of Geneva's old town. Both tourists and locals meet here to enjoy the numerous cafés and restaurants. It also hosts numerous markets, nestled between the historic facades of the houses. Nearby, you will find the Promenade de la Treille with the longest wooden bench in the world. This is also where the official start of spring is heralded every year at the old chestnut tree.
