Historic square and traffic junction

Before the Second World War, Potsdamer Platz was the commercial centre of Berlin and one of the busiest squares in Europe. After the end of the war and until reunification, it was a no-man's land. This changed in 1990 with the redevelopment of the wasteland. The square blossomed into one of the most striking places in the city. The 27,000 m² Sony Center, high-rise buildings such as the Deutsche Bahn Tower and countless shops, theaters cinemas and restaurants represent the image today. In addition, the film museum "Deutsche Kinemathek" is always worth a visit.
