Pula is the oldest and largest city on the Istrian peninsula. The trademark of the city is the Roman amphitheater. This was the second largest arena of the Roman Empire. Bathing vacationers and water sports enthusiasts will find countless beaches and quiet bathing bays around Pula. Many of the beaches have been awarded the "Blue Flag".
