One of the most beautiful churches in the city of Brussels is the Cathedral St. Michel et Gudule, often simply abbreviated to St. Gudule. The monumental building on the Treurenberg in Brussels is particularly impressive with its two striking towers, which reach almost 70 metres in height.

In 1962, the church became the seat of the Archbishopric of Mechelen-Brussels and was officially given the title of cathedral. The cathedral was built in a Gothic style and is used by the royal family for weddings, for example. Inside it has, among other things, twelve large figures of the apostles, which date from the 17th century. Also worth seeing is the baroque pulpit, which is carved out of wood and also dates from the 17th century.
