Trogir

The town of Trogir has a special location. It is located on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo. Trogir can be reached by bridges on both sides. The city was separated from the mainland over 2000 years ago by a canal built by the Romans. In the vernacular Trogir is often called the museum island. There are numerous historical buildings for visitors to discover. Since 1997, the port city has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From a culinary point of view, the city is very much characterized by fish. This is served freshly caught in the restaurants. For sports enthusiasts, the island offers many opportunities such as windsurfing, sailing or diving.
