Utö is one of the larger islands in the Stockholm archipelago and together with the islands of Ålö, Nåttarö, Ornö and Rånö forms an elongated group of islands in the southern archipelago. With beautiful bathing beaches, a modern sailing harbor, versatile shopping, restaurants and cafes, Utö is a popular vacation destination all year round, offering visitors numerous opportunities for individual activity and recreation vacations.

In the harbor on Utö kayaks and bicycles are rented. Boat trips depart for interesting excursions in the archipelago, fishing trips depart with fishing boats. Tennis, courses in western riding and mini golf are also on offer.

Ewa 300 sailboats are offered place in the harbor Gruvbryggan. You can have a modern all-round service. Also popular are the natural bathing places such as the smoothly polished bathing cliffs near Rävstavik and the sandy beach Ålö Storsand.

On Utö, the local archipelago foundation maintains both the resting and bathing areas as well as hiking and biking trails in exemplary condition. Sustainable forestry had been established here. The Utö Climb leads hikers along a three-kilometer path through nature.

Sights include the old Utö mill from the 18th century. From there there are wide views over the bays and the sea. Utö's historic iron ore mine was once one of the most important and largest in Sweden. Today it is a sightseeing highlight: the water-filled pit holes reach depths of over 215 meters.

The northern part of the archipelago is a nature reserve with a historic mining village at its center. All around, dense coniferous forest and pastureland characterize the lush vegetation. In the east there are cliffs facing the sea. Around the village of Kroka, depending on the season, numerous wild birds and butterflies can be observed.
