Youth hostels in Nice

Overnight stays for the small purse

There are two youth hostels in Nice, Les Camélias in the centre and Mont Boron a little away from the centre.

There are many youth hostels and hostels on the southern French coast, which cost much less than a hotel in Nice. If you want to stay in an "Auberge de Jeunesse", you need an international youth hostel card. There is no age limit. Interested parties can obtain material from the German Youth Hostel Association or its French counterpart, the Fédération Unie des Auberges de Jeunesse, FUAJ.

Youth hostels are divided into four categories, which are indicated by trees. One tree means simple standard, four trees stand for the highest equipment.

Les Camélias

The FUAJ offers two youth hostels in Nice. Les Camélias is located about five minutes walk from the historic centre of Nice, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The train station is also only 500 metres away from the hostel, which has been awarded the highest category. It offers a total of 136 beds in 4 or 6-bed rooms and is open around the clock all year round. It is recommended to secure your valuables in the locker with a lock, because as in all holiday regions, unfortunately, thieves are also in Nice on the road! In the high season, an overnight stay including breakfast costs approximately 25 euros.

Mont Baron

With the "Mont Boron" there is another cheaper alternative in the category "two trees". The hostel is located above Nice on a hill and about four kilometers from the center. A bus line runs to the hostel. There are 8 rooms in total with 56 beds. The hostel is open between 1st June and 30th September. The reception is not manned all the time and if you are planning an evening trip, please note the closing time! The hostel is open between 6.30 and 12 and between 17 and 24. One night at the "Mont Boron" costs 19,60 Euro including breakfast (as of 03/12).
