Rhodos
Just 70 kilometers southeast of Kos is the fourth largest island of Greece Rhodes, which is also the main island of the Dodecanese archipelago in the southeast Aegean Sea. About half of the population of Rhodes lives in the capital of the same name, which is located on the northeastern tip of the island and with its approximately 60,000 inhabitants forms the tourist center. Karpathos
The Dodecanese island of Karpathos is located approximately halfway between Crete and Rhodes and also forms the southern boundary of the Aegean Sea to the open Mediterranean Sea. On Karpathos live only a little more than 6,000 inhabitants. Most of them certainly in the main village of the same name in the southeast, which used to be called Pigadia. The remote villages there make a very traditional impression. There are beautiful mountain trails and white sandy beaches, where a lot of water sports are practiced.
