Kimolos
The 55 km² island of the Western Cyclades group offers a rather spartan tourism at the beginning of the 2020s. But you can really feel an absolutely authentic atmosphere and enjoy the hospitality of the islanders to the fullest. The almost thousand inhabitants are spread over half a dozen villages and settlements. The island is of volcanic origin and therefore rich in minerals. For you as a vacationer, the main village of Chorio Kimolou, including a former fortress village, is of tourist interest - as are the ruins of ancient tombs on the southwest coast near Elinika beach.
The ferry port on the island of Kimolos offers connections to the other Greek islands of Andros, Sikinos, Thira, Paros, Tinos, Folegandros, Ios, Sifnos, Serifos, Milos, Kythnos, Syros and Naxos, as well as to the ferry port of Piraeus on the Greek mainland. A total of 14 routes are offered here several times a day by the shipping companies Hellenic Seaways, SeaJets and Zante Ferries.

However, if you are an early riser and like to have the beach to yourself, you will probably also find your happiness here - because due to the party nights, it usually only gets a bit livelier on the beaches in the afternoon. Worth seeing are especially the monastery Agia Ioannis and the regional wine growing.
